How to grade my coins.

Published by actionpro at 9:24 am under Coin Collecting Edit This

Coin grading is a skill that takes many years of study. A great reference book for grading United States coins is the ANA Grading Standards 6th edition for United States coins.

Coin Grading Services
3rd Party grading services get your coins professionally graded.

The top 5 grading services are.

PCGS - Professional Coin Grading Service.

ICG - Independent Coin Grading.

NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Corporation.

ANACS - American Numismatic Association Certification Service.

Canadian coin grading experts:

ICCS - International Coin Certification Service.

There are many coin grading services but they do not have the following and good reputation among coin collectors.

Here is one worth mention.

NANCS - North American Numismatic Certification Service.

The grading from this company seems to be consistent and within ANA standards plus they go the extra mile and showing the entire grade reverse and obverse by way of the their coin ID search and fair market value of coin, this is the only Grading Service I know that does this.

The NANCS uses a generic holder, I hope they invest in holder of their own that will separate them from others.
